Christina Skoski, M.D., Scholarship

The Christina Skoski, MD, Scholarship Fund provides a one-time $1,000 scholarship to a full-time undergraduate student with an acquired or congenital limb loss. The student must also have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and an ACT and/or SAT score in the 90th percentile. The scholarship opportunity opens in the first quarter of the year and students must be enrolled full-time for the fall semester. The entire award is made in one payment to the student’s higher education institution upon verification of the student’s enrollment and full-time status.

To apply for this opportunity, the student must complete an application in addition to a letter of recommendation and a personal statement.

 

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be registered with the Amputee Coalition (Not registered? Sign up today!)
  • Be living with limb loss or limb difference.
  • Be a graduating high school senior or undergraduate student enrolled full-time or accepted to an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and a minimum ACT score of 28 and/or SAT score of
    1300.

How to Apply

Scholarship recipients are selected based on:

  • A two-page maximum, double-spaced Personal Statement explaining how this scholarship will support your educational journey
  • Two letters of recommendation highlighting your qualities and strengths
  • GPA and ACT/SAT scores

The chosen scholarship recipient will be notified no later than Friday, June 12, 2026.

Scholarship Award Details

Award Amount: $1,000 (maximum) paid to higher education institution

One-Time Award: Recipients may receive this scholarship only once

Post-Award Requirement: Recipients must submit a brief thank you letter to the Amputee Coalition, sharing how the scholarship has supported their college journey
